What are Commuter Benefits?
Commuter benefits give employees the opportunity to use tax-free dollars on commuting costs and keep more of what they earn in their paycheck. Companies that offer commuter benefits also save money by reducing payroll taxes.
When an employee enrolls in our commuter benefits program, they can pay for their commuting costs with pre-tax money, up to the current IRS tax limit of $300/month. They’re even saving the planet when they make the switch to climate-friendly alternatives.

Pre-tax transit benefits includes bus, train, subway and ferry services. Edenred Benefits offers many options to pay for public transit such as our prepaid card, smart cards and transit passes.
Parking Benefits
Edenred Benefits offers a variety of pre-tax options to pay for parking including the prepaid card, cash reimbursement, and direct pay, where we can even pay parking providers on your behalf.

Along with traditional pre-tax options like public transit and parking, we also offer flexible post-tax commuting options like bike sharing, e-scooters, e-mopeds, and corporate shuttles. How it works
Employees place orders by the 10th of the month for the following month’s benefits. (ie: For December benefits, orders must be placed by November 10th)
Employees will receive their products in the mail before the end of the month for the following benefit month. (ie: For December benefits, employees will receive their products on or before November 30th.)
Edenred will send the payroll deduction file monthly. Your payroll administrator will use it to set up employee deductions.
