Alan is a public affairs and government relations professional based in Washington, D.C. He has over two decades of policy and political experience in senior positions on Capitol Hill, as well as consulting for companies and advocacy organizations at the federal, state, and local levels. He has expert ability in building coalitions, networks, and partnerships.

Prior to joining Edenred, he founded his own strategic consulting firm and also worked in senior public affairs and government relations roles for a number of diverse nonprofit industry and member associations, leading their interactions with government, industry stakeholders, and the media as well as championing a number of grassroots advocacy campaigns. He also served as a policy advisor for over ten years in the U.S. House of Representatives for three Members of Congress.

Alan brings his passion and purpose for health and financial services policy to Edenred to help elevate the company’s visibility and relationships with government leaders and stakeholders. He is committed to helping Edenred advance its products and services and further opportunities that support its customers and their employees to form better health, financial security, livelihoods, mobility, productivity, and success.

Alan earned a Master’s Degree in Public Policy from Michigan State University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Western Michigan University and believes in mentoring young professionals through his alumni associations.

Outside of work, Alan spends time with his two daughters and their Golden Retriever, Wrigley. He is passionate about history, travel, and fitness and plays baseball, golf and tennis competitively.
